Acquisition Strategy & Planning
We offer guidance on 12 topics, including open systems approach, commercial off-the-shelf (COTS)-based systems, software architecture, software sustainment, requirements development, requirements management, operational information assurance, information assurance for COTS sustainment, software testing, software risk management, software metrics, and software-based award fees.
Business Analysis
Our Business Analysts focus on a set of tasks, knowledge, and techniques required to identify business needs and determine solutions to business problems. Solutions often include a systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement or organizational change.
Commercial Software Development
Our approach combines aspects of software engineering and the marketing concepts needed to circulate highly productive solutions. We focus on the "heavy lifting" needed for hosted web applications, transactional data systems, and multi-component server/workstation programs. We also maintain a heavy concentration in application security for web/thick clients within an organizations internal infrastructure
Commercial Software Product Integration
Emphasis on extending commercial product interfaces to operate within the software and hardware infrastructures of mission users. Focus on resource authentication and authorization for identity management systems, information search/retrieval, and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) web services.
Enterprise Architecture
We focus on IT compliance for government CIO-level staff for Capital Asset Plan and Business Case Summaries supporting the budget justification and reporting requirements for IT investments. Our government clients are required to comply with OMB Circular No A-11 Part 7, Section 300: Planning, Budgeting, Acquistion, and Management of Capital Assets and we provide valuable life cycle experience within these areas.
Geographic Information Visualization Services
From concept design to production to training we can make your custom software solution or integration project shine with presentation that places information into a time and space visualization. Most information is easier to understand when represented within space on a map and even better with visualizations to represent time. LMN has the skill, ability and experience to take your data and produce information. We partner with vendors such as ESRI, Google, Microsoft and a host of open source products. Then we combine your ideas and data with our own ingenuity and creativity to build the best information system for you.
More than dots on a map. We provide a full range perspective. LMN has the ability and experience to put give your information a geographic and time based awareness.
LMN starts with understanding your needs and builds a customized plan to meet those needs as the world moves into the future. From requirements, person centric user design, data conversion, support and training LMN Solutions can inject spacial innovation into your business or agency.
Google Content Integration Services
We combine Google Search Appliance and Google Earth expertise with leading open source and commercial tools to create innovative solutions for our clients. We create adapters to external applications and promote secure information access across corporate environments. For Google Earth Enterprise, we focus on large scale deployments within Linux environments and provide training on software operations with geographic data within the system. Graphic & User Interface Design
Where traditional graphic design seeks to make the object or application physically attractive, the goal of user interface design is to make the user's interaction as simple and efficient as possible, in terms of accomplishing user goals. We focus on combining both aesthetics and functionality into our design and development. User Interface Design also focuses on user modeling, requirements analysis, prototyping and usability engineering.
Graphic design may be utilized to apply a theme or style to the interface without compromising its usability. The design process of an interface must balance the meaning of its visual elements that conform the mental model of operation, and the functionality from a technical engineering perspective, in order to create a system that is both usable and easy to adapt to the changing user needs.
Human Factors Engineering
We focus on the human factors of interactive computing. Emphasis of cognitive psychology, linguistics, computer science, and management science applied to the design and development of interactive computer systems: user modeling, requirements analysis, human-computer interface design.
Mission Focused Analytics
Our people have mission expertise in the collection, analysis and dissemination of counter-terrorism information. They are keenly aware of the challenges of inter-agency coordination and information sharing, and are working with mission partners to improve the intelligence community's ability to coordinate their efforts against the terrorist threat. LMN analysts also have mission expertise in the U.S. government's terrorist screening enterprise and have served on multiple inter-agency working groups designed to address the challenges of this complex system. In addition to this analytic expertise, our people are involved in the development of policies that support the new environment of information sharing and collaboration as counter-terrorism information becomes more integrated across the intelligence community. LMN is very proud to support this vital mission.
Program & Project Management
We operate in leadership roles forlarge scale programs within tiered subcontracting environments for government and commercial clients. We lead the completion of high value technology development and integration deliverables and provide metrics related to cost, delivery schedules, and risk management processes.
Requirements Analysis
Our Requirements analysts focus on the ever-changing environment of systems and relationships between people. They know the importantance of identifying all of the stakeholders, take into account all their needs and ensure they understand the implications of the new systems. Analysts can employ several techniques to elicit the requirements from the customer. This can include such things as holding interviews, or focus groups and creating requirements lists. Our analysts also employ prototyping, and use cases to establish the exact requirements of the stakeholders, so that a system that meets the business needs is produced.
Systems Engineering
We concentrate on combining aspects of estimation, reliability analysis, and technology to reduce risk and cycle time for mission critical systems delivery. Our rapid system scenario evaluation includes various static and dynamic analyses including system stimulation to understand how high-risk components must be integrated and properly tested. Performance engineering including modeling and simulation also provide practical metrics to optimize deployment and operation strategies.
